Federal court orders CFPB to seek Federal Reserve funding; agency must stay lawfully funded

The U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon held that the CFPB’s acting director must request funds from the Federal Reserve so the agency can operate as Congress intended; the order resolves in large part a lawsuit co-led by California Attorney General Rob Bonta and 22 other attorneys general.
